Chief Financial Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of our capital deployment strategy and effectively advocate for the investments that are worth pursuing, both internally and externally.

• Provide leadership with the clarity needed to invest confidently and the discipline required to grow operations profitably.

• Enhance the long-term value of the business while creating liquidity opportunities for both our team and investors.

• Act as the financial representative of the company to external stakeholders — including investors, partners, banks, and auditors.

• Develop, recruit, and manage a strategically lean finance team that leverages AI across our international operations.

• Establish the standards for financial operations, collaboration with the business, and building trust throughout the organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Chief Financial Officer who has successfully guided finance during significant scaling and has created enduring value for the company and its shareholders.

• Extensive international experience managing multiple entities and currencies.

• Expertise in cross-border tax and compliance matters, including US indirect tax, EU VAT, and Australian GST.

• A recognized accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or a locally accredited CPA), along with substantial experience in FP&A and financial modeling.

• Proactive communication skills, a strong sense of ownership, and the ability to operate autonomously in a dynamic remote environment.

• Additional favorable qualifications include:

• Experience in a SaaS-enabled marketplace, particularly in forecasting both transactional gross booking volume (GBV) and recurring revenue.

• Background in the travel, hospitality, or proptech sectors.

• Experience in transitioning a finance function from founder-led to an institutional-grade operation.

• Competitive compensation. The total cash budget for this position is up to US$312,000 annually, adjusted based on your location's cost of living. We can employ talent as contractors or as employees if located in the United States, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Australia, considering payroll taxes to establish gross compensation.
