Accounting/Financial Vendor Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Evaluate incoming data from risk adjustment vendors and compute financial penalties based on contractual performance.

• Assist in contract negotiations by conducting cost analysis, estimating ROI, and forecasting budgets.

• Execute credit and reimbursement reconciliations during project finalization.

• Create innovative methods and enhancements to verify, gather, and organize vendor data utilizing Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

• Deliver precise and thorough information for vendor audits.

• Address ad-hoc inquiries from business stakeholders.

• Act as a subject matter expert in vendor analytics.

• Examine and verify all invoice submissions to guarantee compliance with contractual agreements.

• Evaluate the quality, punctuality, and completeness of incoming data from risk adjustment vendors.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED is required.

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science, or another analytical discipline is preferred, or relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting is required.

• CPA designation is preferred.

• Familiarity with accounting entries, accruals, and the month-end close process is necessary.

• Experience with Excel is required.

• Proficiency in Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming is an advantage.

• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Workday is beneficial.

• Background in Billing, Purchasing, or Procurement is preferred.

• Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, or commercial risk adjustment is a plus.

• Programming experience in SAS or SQL is considered an advantage.
