Chief Financial Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Enhance the efficiency of finance operations. Transition from manual processes to modern solutions, repair existing issues, and establish scalable workflows without a proportional increase in headcount.

• Develop a comprehensive pricing strategy within the finance department. Analyze the economics of our changing revenue model and provide data-driven insights for pricing decisions.

• Structure financials and key performance indicators (KPIs) to convey a clear and engaging narrative about the business's health and growth trajectory.

• Foster a collaborative forecasting partnership between sales and finance that both teams can rely on and utilize effectively.

• Oversee a streamlined finance function that excels through the intelligent application of modern tools and automation. Manage cash flow with the discipline characteristic of a bootstrapped organization. Every investment decision should be intentional, viewing capital efficiency as a competitive edge rather than a limitation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experienced finance leader with over 15 years of progressive leadership roles, including senior positions within finance.

• Proven track record in leading finance for a bootstrapped, founder-led SaaS company, with a clear understanding of the implications and necessities of this environment.

• Ideal experience in companies with 100–500 employees, where you were responsible for both strategic planning and execution.

• Strong understanding of SaaS metrics, including Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), Net Revenue Retention (NRR), cohort analysis, and consumption model economics.

• Highly focused on AI readiness, eager to incorporate AI into your workflows and leadership approach, as well as in team development.

• Ability to cultivate authentic relationships with sales leadership, demonstrating both commercial empathy and financial discipline.
