Chief Executive Officer, Executive Board Member in a Portfolio Company – Equity Participation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Take on the role of CEO in one of our well-established portfolio companies.

• Proactively shape and enhance the existing business model.

• Assume complete responsibility for the buy-and-build strategy of the company.

• Propel rapid growth through two to four acquisitions annually (Buy).

• Ensure the seamless integration of new acquisitions while fostering organic growth (Build).

• Represent the company in marketing and sales efforts to both internal and external stakeholders, particularly investors and M&A advisors.

• Define and implement corporate goals and objectives.

• Ensure adherence to legal standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.

⛳️ Requirements

• You are prepared to invest your own capital into the company (the initial equity participation is designed to ensure management retains a majority stake).

• A compelling leadership personality with a strong desire to take on entrepreneurial responsibilities.

• A strong inclination towards developing effective marketing and sales strategies.

• Several years of experience as a CEO of a business unit within a corporation or as an executive board member/managing director in a small to medium-sized enterprise (SME).

• Comfortable engaging with supervisory boards, investors, and owners of smaller mid-sized businesses.

• Initial experience with M&A processes, particularly in the mid-market/SME sector.

• A strong performance orientation, a hands-on approach, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

• Confident, persuasive, and respectful communicator in both business-fluent German and English.
