Chief Engineer, Ro-Ro Cargo Vessel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Responsible for overseeing engine room operations and maintaining all machinery.

• Ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the main engine, auxiliary systems, and electrical components.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance strategies and repairs.

• Track fuel consumption, lubricant oil usage, and engine performance metrics.

• Lead and supervise the engine crew, delegate tasks, and provide training.

• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 12 months experience in the rank with 4-stroke engine type.

• Preference for candidates with experience in electronic engines.

• Must possess a valid Certificate of Competency (STCW Reg III/2).

• Hold valid STCW certifications necessary for the role.

• Strong communication skills are essential.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
