Chief Engineer, Ro-Ro Cargo Vessel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latvia.

📋 Description

• Responsible for overseeing engine room operations and maintaining all machinery.

• Guarantee the safe and efficient functioning of the main engine, auxiliary systems, and electrical components.

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans and repairs.

• Track fuel consumption, lubricating oil usage, and engine performance metrics.

• Direct and manage the engine crew, delegate tasks, and provide training.

• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum experience required: 12 months in rank with an Engine type (4 stroke).

• Experience in conducting repairs and dry docking is essential.

• Must possess a valid Certificate of Competency (STWC Reg III/2) with verification.

• Hold valid STCW certifications necessary for the role.

• Background in a multicultural work environment is preferred.

• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
