This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Lithuania.
• Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including the general ledger, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in compliance with Lithuanian GAAP and IFRS (as applicable).
• Direct the year-end audit process and serve as the primary contact for external auditors and accounting service providers.
• Ensure adherence to MiCA, AML/CFT, and tax regulations, maintaining thorough and accurate records for regulatory submissions.
• Oversee accounting for crypto-asset transactions, covering valuation, custody reconciliations, and revenue recognition.
• Develop and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and automation of reporting.
• Assist the CFO with group consolidation, liquidity reporting, and management reporting.
• Coordinate intercompany accounting for entities located in Lithuania, Switzerland, and the UK.
• Stay updated on accounting, tax, and crypto-related regulations, ensuring the company's preparedness and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.
• At least 5 years of experience in accounting.
• Minimum of 2 years in a senior or chief accountant role.
• Professional certification (ACCA, CPA, or a local equivalent) is highly advantageous.
• Strong understanding of Lithuanian accounting standards, IFRS, and tax laws.
• Preferred experience in a financial institution, fintech, or crypto-asset company.
• Practical experience with accounting software (e.g., Navision, SAP, or similar).
• Proficiency in English and Lithuanian, both written and spoken, is required.
