This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Respond to incoming chat and text messages from the 988 Crisis and Suicide Lifeline for clients seeking online emotional assistance.
• Ensure compliance with all performance metrics set by the 988 Crisis and Suicide Lifeline.
• Engage with clients at Imminent Risk, employing de-escalation techniques, screening, safety planning, and reducing lethal means during conversations.
• Utilize the least invasive methods for service delivery.
• Provide referrals, activate mobile crisis units, and involve law enforcement for active rescues when necessary.
• Complete and successfully pass all required Lifeline Simulation Training modules.
• Participate in a minimum of two Lifeline Simulation Training modules annually, as required.
• Achieve a minimum score of 85% monthly on quality assurance assessments.
• Aim to obtain American Association of Suicidology (AAS) crisis certification when eligible.
• Establish and nurture respectful relationships with clients, ensuring trust and confidentiality throughout the conversation and beyond.
• Engage in national, state, and local meetings, committees, community activities, and outreach events as needed.
• Actively participate in ongoing supervision, training sessions, and team meetings.
• Contribute to proactive team initiatives to meet departmental and organizational objectives.
• Adhere to all organizational policies, practices, and procedures.
• Exceptional verbal communication, customer service, and time management abilities.
• Capability to read and interpret various documents.
• Skill in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to address common inquiries or complaints from clients or community members.
• Proficiency in presenting information effectively in one-on-one and small group settings to clients and other staff members.
• Competence in basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Ability to problem-solve and manage a range of concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
• Capability to interpret various types of instructions presented in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule formats.
• Strong data entry capabilities.
• Proficient in personal computer applications including email, recordkeeping, routine database tasks, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, etc.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
