Chaplain, Part-Time

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Acts as a messenger and representative of faith, mission, and purpose.

• Engages with companies, their employees, and the community in a manner that reflects character through personal and spiritual practices.

• Regularly visits company worksites (typically on a weekly basis) to build relationships of trust and friendship with employees.

• Visits employees or their immediate family members wherever care can be offered.

• May provide confidential pastoral discussions regarding personal issues faced by employees and their immediate family members.

• Offers referral services and coordinates specialized assistance for employees and/or immediate family members with specific needs.

• May assist in planning, conducting, or attending funerals for employees or their immediate family members.

• Collaborates with companies to notify families and other employees about deaths and serious injuries.

• May provide post-termination support for employees who have been laid off or terminated.

• Ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team and in an interfaith environment.

• Skills to effectively listen to and interact with clients, employees, and their families.

• Spiritual maturity and a commitment to a Christian lifestyle alongside MCHAPs Ministry values.

• Proven ability to engage professionally with diplomacy, patience, and courtesy across diverse groups.

• Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills for effective interaction with leadership, colleagues, employees, and families.

• Proven skill in analyzing information to identify and address problems or objectives.

• Demonstrated computer proficiency with Google Suites, Microsoft Office, or other equivalent software.

• Must possess an active state driver’s license and the state-required minimum auto insurance.
