This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Netherlands.
• Take ownership of the creative vision and execution quality across various projects, from initial concept to final delivery.
• Decode client briefs and translate business and brand objectives into clear and actionable creative directions.
• Create and present concepts using pitch decks, style proposals, mood boards, storyboards, sketches, and visual references.
• Guide CGI teams on composition, lighting, materials, camera settings, and overall aesthetic.
• Ensure visual consistency, realism, and brand alignment across still images, animations, and interactive outputs.
• Conduct continuous creative quality assurance by reviewing renders and animations, providing constructive feedback, and assisting teams in troubleshooting scenes to achieve the desired quality.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers/Producers to align creative aspirations with project scope, timelines, and production realities.
• Serve as a creative partner during client discussions, confidently presenting, defending, and refining concepts.
• Keep abreast of current trends and workflows in design, digital visualization, CGI, and real-time/AI-driven production.
• Lead and motivate international teams of skilled CGI artists, promoting quality, ownership, and teamwork.
• Over 5 years of experience in an art direction role, preferably within CGI or agency settings.
• Strong foundation in CGI art direction, complemented by a hands-on understanding of 3D pipelines, virtual production, and digital lighting.
• Demonstrated ability to lead creative teams while maintaining high standards under tight deadlines.
• Exceptional eye for detail, composition, and realism, supported by a strong portfolio or reel.
• Experience working directly with brands and stakeholders, showcasing confidence in presenting and justifying creative choices.
• Comfortable navigating the balance between creative ambition and production constraints, milestones, and delivery pressures.
• Hands-on approach: capable of stepping into production when necessary and independently managing smaller projects from start to finish.
• Passionate about product and product storytelling; experience in healthcare and consumer electronics is a significant advantage.
• Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
