This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Respond to incoming calls from patients, healthcare providers, and pharmacy partners with professionalism and compassion.
• Manage high-volume call center activities while ensuring service quality and precision.
• Receive verbal prescriptions from providers and guarantee proper documentation in line with state regulations.
• Redirect calls concerning clinical inquiries or counseling needs to remote pharmacists.
• Accurately process prescriptions and enter patient information into the pharmacy database.
• Initiate outbound calls to prescribers for clarifications, refill requests, and medication confirmations.
• Address patient issues related to orders, insurance, or delivery, escalating as necessary.
• Maintain precise and confidential patient records, including addresses, allergies, and prescription histories.
• Respond to emails and chat inquiries as required, ensuring timely and comprehensive resolutions.
• Work collaboratively with internal pharmacy operations, the pharmacist team, and external fulfillment partners.
• Comply with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement by identifying call patterns and proposing workflow enhancements.
• Participate in training sessions to remain updated on pharmacy practices and customer service strategies.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) – Required - Must hold certification from the Ohio Board of Pharmacy, in Ohio.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a call center, pharmacy, or customer support position (healthcare/pharmacy preferred).
• Comfortable managing a high volume of calls and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication, empathy, and de-escalation abilities.
• Capable of working independently and staying organized while working remotely.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
