This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Deliver outstanding customer service in a telephone-based setting.
• Accurately enter and process a high volume of prescription data.
• Handle prescription authorizations, clarifications, and transfers.
• Conduct claim adjudication and auditing, including prior authorizations, billing, and eligibility verification.
• Make outbound calls to patients to ensure their needs are met.
• Address patient care issues through case queues efficiently.
• Act as a liaison between clinical pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.
• Collaborate with technicians and pharmacists to onboard new patients effectively.
• Ensure the confidentiality of patient records is maintained.
• Retrieve and confirm prescription information via calls to physicians.
• Conduct welcome calls to newly onboarded patients.
• Create, maintain, and update medication profiles as needed.
• Provide backup support during peak call volumes.
• Assist patients with inquiries over the phone.
• Support ExactCare’s nationwide patient population in a high-demand environment.

• Participate in special organizational or departmental events, team meetings, trade shows, conferences, and client engagements as required.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or the National Health Association (NHA) with a current certificate.
• Must maintain a pharmacy technician registration with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous experience in a pharmacy environment.
• Capability to work in an office-based (or remote) setting requiring sitting at a desk for 90% of the time.
• Comfort in a phone-based work environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in utilizing computer equipment, technology, and multiple software applications.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceuticals.
• Understanding of pharmacy billing processes.
• Familiarity with prescription procedures, clarifications, and transfers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong prioritization and organizational abilities.
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to document relevant details in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Must be able to travel to multiple site locations within the assigned territory.
• Willingness to work extended hours as necessary.
• Availability outside of normal business hours on an ad-hoc basis.
