Certified Coder – Practice Operations, Certified Professional Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluating documentation and determining the suitable procedure and/or diagnosis code to be included in billing records.

• Confirming that the requirements for teaching physicians are satisfied and accurately represented in the documentation.

• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred: high school diploma or general education degree (GED).

• Required: Certified Professional Coder certification.

• Experience level and duration based on departmental requirements.

• Comprehensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding.

• Understanding of government regulations related to teaching physician documentation and billing practices.

• Familiarity with compliance concerning all government, departmental, and contractual regulations regarding coding and billing.
