Certified Balance Sheet Accountant, Financial Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Efficiently manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger transactions using DATEV, including fixed-asset accounting.

• Review and verify the accuracy and completeness of incoming and outgoing invoices.

• Process payment transactions, reconcile, and record cash entries to maintain a seamless financial flow.

• Accurately document and archive all essential financial records and supporting documents in compliance with legal standards.

• Reconcile and oversee accounts to guarantee high data integrity and precise bookkeeping.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and generate monthly reports on the company’s financial status.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in accounting/taxation or a commercial apprenticeship with advanced training as a Bilanzbuchhalter (certified balance sheet accountant) is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting, preferably focused on general ledger accounting or as a Bilanzbuchhalter.

• Proficiency and confidence in using ERP and IT systems, especially DATEV and MS Excel.

• Strong understanding of German VAT law; experience in payroll accounting is an advantage.

• A demonstrated ability to work independently, with a structured and precise approach.

• Fluency in German and good command of English (the company’s working language) is essential.
