Certified Arborist, Urban Forester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Become a vital part of the expanding team at NRSI, offering specialized knowledge in tree and forest inventories.

• Actively engage in both fieldwork and office tasks on a regular basis.

• Take part in extended field surveys across diverse environmental conditions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Certification as an Arborist through the International Society of Arboriculture OR as a Registered Professional Forester with the Ontario Professional Foresters Association (Full Member).

• Proven experience in executing tree and forest inventories along with health assessments in both rural and urban environments.

• Skilled in identifying tree species native to rural and urban Ontario.

• Willing and able to travel for regular multi-day field surveys.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a personal vehicle.

• Certification in Standard First Aid and CPR.

• Demonstrated experience in developing Arborist Reports and Tree Preservation Plans.

• A strong desire and proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Consistent accuracy and attention to detail in all work-related tasks.
