This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Collaborate closely with business leaders to achieve successful outcomes.
• Utilize your financial expertise to support and influence crucial strategic and business decisions.
• Act as the financial partner for your business teams, aiding in the analysis and evaluation of strategic projects and initiatives (such as foundational investments or shifts in business models).
• Create and implement analytical frameworks to assess the efficiency and return on investment of both headcount and non-headcount expenditures.
• Lead reporting, processes, and discipline within finance routines to shape and impact decision-making (including budget, forecasting, monthly reviews, and long-range planning).
• Develop and maintain models for comprehensive analyses, ensuring their quality, timeliness, and accuracy.
• Establish metrics and leading indicators to measure business performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance Systems, Data Science, and Infrastructure Engineering, to create reporting dashboards.
• Foster continuous process improvement, standardization, simplification, and enhancements in reporting.
• 7-9 years of relevant experience in strategic finance or financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
• Proven experience in driving and executing finance processes (such as budget and forecast creation, contract negotiations, and headcount envelope management).
• Demonstrated proficiency in using AI tools (coding agents, skills, forecasting tools) to create data visualizations and explore datasets, with a quick learning curve for new tools.
• Strong understanding of AI cost drivers and metrics, including token caching/reads/writes, model selection principles, and billing frameworks.
• In-depth knowledge of expense accounting principles, including accruals, amortization, and capitalization.
• Capability to manage cross-functional programs, leveraging influence without authority to manage non-financial deliverables from partner teams.
• Ability to cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with business partners and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Highly proactive, capable of independently anticipating and executing critical analyses, driving business results with minimal supervision.
• Skilled in delivering results under tight deadlines and possessing a "roll up your sleeves" mentality to complete any task.
• Proficient in bringing structure to ambiguous inquiries and thriving in an unstructured, fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with a demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze problems and datasets, and make complex investigative decisions.
