This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +13 more states.
• Investigate and manage property catastrophe claims.
• Assess liability, gather information, review coverage, coordinate appraisals, and resolve claims.
• Report directly to the CAT Property Claims Manager.
• Deploy to the field during catastrophic events.
• Investigate the origin and cause of claims by contacting insured individuals, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, investigators, adjusters, public personnel, and other involved parties.
• Identify complex issues and seek assistance when necessary.
• Handle claims in good faith, including both first-party and third-party claims under various policy types and endorsements.
• Conduct on-site inspections, assess damages, and negotiate claims with relevant stakeholders.
• Address customer inquiries, make decisions, and close files as required.
• Interpret policies, leases, bylaws, declarations, articles, and contract coverages, applying them to the assigned losses.
• Provide information on the claims process and status updates to involved parties; respond to questions or redirect inquiries as needed.
• Complete additional assignments, duties, or projects as necessary.
• Proven experience in delivering customer-focused solutions, support, or service.
• Proven experience managing first-party and third-party multiline claims across operating regions, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience dealing with moderately complex claims, or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of casualty coverage policies and endorsements, or equivalent knowledge.
• Strong understanding of each phase of the claim-handling process, or equivalent knowledge.
• Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record are required.
• Obtain state-specific property casualty claims licensing as necessary.
• Ability to travel up to 50%; catastrophe duty travel may require up to 75% travel.
• Capacity to conduct inspections in homes and other hazardous or challenging environments.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and similar structures.
• Capability to navigate tight and confined spaces.
• Ability to adjust or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds in all directions.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, precipitation, wind, noisy environments, hazardous conditions, poor ventilation, and small or enclosed spaces.
• Successful completion of applicable background checks.
• Must sign a non-disclosure agreement for proprietary information, trade secrets, and inventions.
