Casualty/Liability Claim Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Oversee high-profile, complex insurance claims that necessitate advanced capabilities in coverage evaluation, litigation oversight, legal and medical document analysis, and negotiation to achieve cost-effective, defensible outcomes.

• Execute comprehensive investigations to ascertain liability for all parties involved, while providing outstanding customer service that protects policyholders and preserves company assets.

• Assess coverage, evaluate liability, set and modify reserves, analyze claims, manage litigation, and negotiate settlements within the limits of assigned authority across various business lines.

• Exhibit profound expertise and sound judgment in intricate issues, managing a specified caseload of casualty losses in line with company policies and relevant regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a Senior Claim Representative role or equivalent experience preferred

• Exceptional Written and Verbal Communication Skills

• Effective Time Management Skills

• Proven Negotiation Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. The candidate must be capable of clearly and effectively communicating with agents, insureds, departmental and company personnel through telephone, fax, e-mail, one-on-one discussions, and small group presentations in a professional manner.
