This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver individualized and/or group career coaching focused on job searches in technical domains for students in a high-volume, online coaching setting.
• Respond in a timely and supportive manner to student career inquiries and address manager’s questions regarding students’ progress.
• Monitor the outcomes of coaching sessions using our student CRM, providing comprehensive notes and information to assess risk factors, track success, and forecast future performance as detailed in the guidelines established by the Springboard Career Success Team.
• Apply effective coaching methodologies to ensure that students are well-prepared candidates for employment within their support timeframe, including staying informed about current trends in technical hiring and effective job search strategies.
• Hold students accountable to the policies aimed at achieving placement rate objectives and maintaining the integrity of our Job Guarantee program.
• Assist in the development of career curriculum and resources as necessary; support the creation of career webinars and manage their administration and facilitation.
• Identify and escalate issues, developing intervention plans for students who may require additional support.
• Participation in weekly/monthly meetings and training sessions is highly encouraged; at a minimum, you are expected to review recordings of any missed meetings and training to remain informed about updates at Springboard, team changes, and coaching advancements.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in coaching, advising, or workforce/employee development in a one-on-one setting, particularly in supporting individuals with job searches and career aspirations for technical positions.
• Ability to coach from both an empathetic and accountable standpoint.
• Familiarity with the hiring process and knowledge of how to conduct an effective job search in the technology sector.
• Proven track record of achieving measurable outcomes, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple priorities and stakeholders; you should be proactive, agile, and adaptable.
• Willingness to learn and master new technologies and systems (e.g., Hubspot, LMS, Zoom, Google Docs/Slides).
• Exceptional customer service orientation and strong attention to detail when documenting student progress and following up on inquiries.
• Excellent communication abilities, particularly in listening, coaching, advising, and delivering presentations to large groups, along with the capacity to build rapport and trust with students and colleagues throughout the organization.
