Cardiology Medical Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the precision and promptness of the revenue cycle operations for each clinic on your assigned team.

• Effectively collaborate as part of a team and engage professionally with clients and colleagues.

• Execute all tasks within the revenue cycle, including daily charge entry, charge scrubbing, insurance accounts receivable, patient accounts receivable, and payment posting.

• Generate accurate and well-organized claims in a timely fashion.

• Monitor and follow up on claims to ensure appropriate payment.

• Append modifiers, adjust diagnosis pointers, and have a grasp of fundamental medical billing coding guidelines.

• Compose and dispatch compelling appeal letters when necessary.

• Leverage insurance portals to track and contest claims.

• Aim to meet and surpass MGMA AR Benchmark Standards.

• Log into the assigned Team Phone Queue daily to assist patients with billing-related inquiries.

• Demonstrate flexibility and readiness to undertake additional responsibilities as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred knowledge and experience in cardiology coding and billing.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding.

• Skilled in using computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records software.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Strong customer service and phone communication skills.

• In-depth understanding of the revenue cycle process.
