Cardiology Medical Billing Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana.

📋 Description

• Acquire, comprehend, and adhere to the established workflow processes for each client.

• Generate precise and well-organized claims promptly.

• Monitor and follow up on claims to ensure appropriate payment.

• Apply modifiers, reassign diagnosis pointers, and grasp fundamental medical billing coding guidelines.

• Compose and dispatch persuasive appeal letters when required.

• Use insurance portals to monitor and appeal claims, verify eligibility, liaise with insurance representatives, and identify reimbursement policies.

• Aim to meet and surpass MGMA AR Benchmark Standards.

• Log in daily to the designated Team Phone Queue to assist patients with billing inquiries.

• Maintain flexibility and readiness to undertake additional responsibilities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Preferred knowledge and experience in cardiology coding and billing.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in medical billing and coding.

• eClinicalWorks experience is preferred.

• Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and electronic medical records software.

• Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Exceptional customer service and telephone communication skills.

• Comprehensive understanding of the revenue cycle process.
