Cardiac Monitor Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Conducts remote monitoring of patients' cardiac devices, such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and other implantable devices, to evaluate device performance, patient data, and detect any irregularities.

• Analyzes and reviews device data, including ECGs, event logs, and diagnostic reports to assess device functionality and identify potential issues or complications.

• Offers technical support and education to patients regarding their cardiac devices, addressing troubleshooting concerns, responding to inquiries, and guiding them on proper usage and maintenance.

• Collaborates closely with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and other healthcare professionals to communicate findings, provide updates on patient status, and coordinate necessary care.

• Responds to alerts and notifications from cardiac devices concerning patient conditions, such as arrhythmias or device failures, and takes suitable actions.

• Maintains precise and comprehensive records of patient interactions, device data, and pertinent observations.

• Ensures that all documentation is accurate and current within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

• Complies with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices pertaining to cardiac device management and remote monitoring in all activities and procedures.

⛳️ Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of cardiac devices and practices related to clinical or remote patient monitoring.

• Strong grasp of cardiac device technology, including pacemakers, defibrillators, and remote monitoring systems.

• Exceptional analytical abilities with the capacity to interpret complex device data and ECGs.

• Outstanding communication skills, capable of delivering clear instructions and support to patients and healthcare providers remotely.

• Proficient in utilizing remote monitoring software, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and other relevant technologies.

• Ability to work independently and effectively manage time in a remote work setting.

• A bachelor’s degree in nursing, Cardiovascular Technology, Biomedical Engineering, or a closely related field.

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in monitoring, calibrating, or maintaining cardiac devices is mandatory.

• Certification in cardiac device management or a similar qualification (e.g., CCDS, RCIS) is preferred.
