This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Creating and managing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) while balancing business opportunities, costs, and risks.
• Lead the development and implementation of scheduling tools, business processes, and automation initiatives to minimize manual operations, enhance Factory Scheduler execution, and improve production efficiency.
• Perform capacity analyses at the work-center level to alleviate immediate and future scheduling risks, identify communication gaps that lead to delays, and spearhead both reactive and proactive projects to increase capacity.
• Set key performance indicators, promote continuous improvement initiatives using lean methodologies, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, and seek opportunities to boost product yield, quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, and team productivity.
• Compile and present actionable weekly status reports that highlight risks, accomplishments, and recommendations for business growth and upcoming schedule needs.
• Facilitate Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes by offering capacity insights and strategic recommendations.
• Direct initiatives aimed at shortening lead times, optimizing resource distribution, and enhancing overall productivity.
• Formulate contingency strategies for capacity limitations and unforeseen demand variations.
• Track and address risks associated with equipment downtime, labor shortages, and material availability.
• Ensure that the Material Master Teams at the plant level uphold precise master data configurations for work centers, routings, and production resources.
• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in capacity planning, production planning, and/or supply chain management within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
• Practical experience with SAP S/4HANA (PP/DS, Advanced Planning modules).
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel capabilities.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Experience in Master Planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
