This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Manages incoming call operations for hospital facilities and emergency lines.
• Responsible for handling incoming calls, appropriately transferring them, and performing administrative tasks.
• Issues critical alerts and codes as requested by clinical and operational departments.
• Responds to all calls in a polite and professional manner.
• Provides general information to callers regarding physician office telephone numbers, area codes, and hospital listings.
• Uses LVHN’s current EMR system to supply callers with information about patients’ room numbers, telephone numbers, and discharge dates.
• Screens critical care and patient phone calls that should not be announced for LVHN.
• Contacts providers based on daily on-call schedules and makes immediate adjustments as required.
• Aids in the troubleshooting, testing, maintenance, and design of internal communication systems.
• Updates physician and physician office information as needed.
• Identifies the purpose of the caller and forwards incoming calls to the appropriate staff member or voice mailbox.
• Notifies and directs staff to critical situations such as Codes and Alerts following each specific procedure.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• One year of customer service experience.
• Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong orientation towards customer service.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple and changing priorities.
