• Handles and filters a high volume of incoming calls
• Collects and registers patients' demographic details, phone numbers, and medication encounters
• Organizes patient appointments through a computerized medical system or manual scheduling
• Carries out (pre) registration tasks by gathering essential patient information and keeping patient records up to date
• Codes lab requests to ensure correct processing and billing for laboratory services
• Ensures patients are provided with the necessary information regarding their scheduled tests and procedures
• Delivers exceptional customer service by communicating relevant information about the Medical Center to patients
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• At least 6 months of relevant experience
• Familiarity with medical terminology, as well as CPT and ICD9 coding
• Strong written communication skills
• A solid work ethic
• Excellent customer service skills and oral communication abilities
• Capability to perform basic arithmetic calculations
• Ability to organize and maintain files and documentation
• Proficient in managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines
• Basic computer proficiency
• Bilingual in Spanish or Russian is preferred
