Calibration Services Technician – PAID Internship

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• This role involves 80% travel across the Greater Boston region.

• Responsible for on-site installation, calibration, and maintenance of continuous monitoring units at client locations.

• Adhere to all health and safety guidelines and accurately document all field activities as specified in the company’s standard operating procedures.

• Travel to and from client sites while demonstrating safe defensive driving practices and maintaining a satisfactory driving record.

• Deliver exceptional customer service in the field for SmartSense clients.

• Conduct field calibration of real-time indoor air quality sensors.

• Read, comprehend, and carry system installation, calibration, and troubleshooting equipment and manuals.

• Inspect and troubleshoot systems on-site.

• Utilize small hand tools for sensor repairs and properly document field activities before leaving the site, uploading information into the central system from a phone or computer daily.

• Communicate any unresolved issues encountered promptly.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in a science or technology field (Required)

• Associate’s degree or equivalent educational hours in a science or technology field of study (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree in a science or technology field of study (Preferred)

• Experience in an environmental or industrial hygiene laboratory (Preferred)

• Valid driver's license (Required)

• Proficient English language skills (Required)

• Excellent customer service skills (Required)

• Basic mathematical and reasoning abilities (Required)

• Basic computer skills (Required)

• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time locally (within 3 hours) (Required)

• Capability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull weights of up to 50 lbs consistently (Required)
