This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with end users to efficiently design and construct the Epic system, ensuring timely and professional execution while making necessary corrections or enhancements.
• Partner closely with Patient Access users to design, develop, and refine workflows related to scheduling, registration, admission, authorization, and patient throughput.
• Lead initiatives for medium to large-scale Epic software upgrades or workflow enhancements, encompassing design, development, and testing phases.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Epic Patient Access modules and their associated workflows.
• Engage in design and validation sessions, guaranteeing proper documentation, follow-up actions, and escalation of issues as needed.
• Identify opportunities for system optimization and enhancement, collaborating with vendors and IT analysts to devise and implement effective solutions.
• Configure and develop visit types, work queues, registration forms, referral templates, and provider records.
• Conduct thorough analyses of workflows, data collection, report specifics, and other technical challenges tied to Epic software.
• Provide support for application incidents reported via the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as necessary.
• Collaborate with trainers to create and maintain training curricula and materials specific to the application.
• Mentor team members on Epic functionalities, workflows, documentation practices, best practices, and change management protocols.
• Facilitate communication with stakeholders from the initial requirements phase to final implementation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues, escalating more complex problems as appropriate.
• Comply with organizational standards for system configuration and change control.
• Build strong relationships with end-user communities, customers, and business partners.
• Attend, engage in, and contribute to meetings across the facility.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in the healthcare field.
• Active and current Epic certification in Cadence.
• At least 4 years of direct client experience in healthcare domains, including patient flow, scheduling, registration, Real Time Eligibility, and Insurance Verification.
• Over 4 years of Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in relevant applications.
