C Unix Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Engaging in design, development, and testing activities.

• Supporting the complete life cycle of development processes for creating services.

• Investigating and addressing complex business and technical product integration issues of significance.

• Concentrating on a specific product or family of technologies across multiple platforms.

• Operating independently within a business area while also contributing at the enterprise level to influence technical decisions throughout various project phases.

• Participating in batch development without handling sensitive health information.

• Coding, testing, debugging, implementing, and documenting programs.

• Aiding in the modification of company products and/or internal systems to satisfy requirements.

• Collecting information from the system, analyzing program and time requirements, and preparing documentation to modify existing programs.

• Researching and analyzing current systems and program requirements under periodic supervision.

• Designing programs for projects or enhancements to existing software.

• Drafting specifications for programs of low to moderate complexity.

• Assisting in troubleshooting issues and defects while proposing alternative solutions to problems.

• Developing test plans to verify the logic of new or modified programs and identifying issues as necessary.

• Generating appropriate documentation for work assignments, including program code and technical documentation.

• Carrying out quality assurance activities, such as peer reviews.

• Demonstrating expertise in batch job automation and notification services.

• Possessing complex SQL work experience and query tuning skills.

• Having experience in the Member, Managed Care, Provider, Financial, and Claims domains is a plus.

• A bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with technical products, vendors, and various technology families.

• Familiarity with product configurations.

• Experience with relevant software packages or classes of packages and products within the area of technical expertise.

• Strong technical design skills.

• Effective communication skills for stakeholder engagement.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills to balance and prioritize tasks.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and switch between tasks quickly.

• Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
