This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.
• Create, develop, and uphold user interface capabilities utilizing C++, Qt 6, Qt Quick, and QML.
• Assume technical ownership of intricate features from the initial requirements and design phase through to implementation, integration, testing, and final delivery.
• Develop reusable and scalable QML components.
• Seamlessly integrate QML user interfaces with C++ backend elements, services, device data, and embedded hardware.
• Make informed technical design choices, taking into account maintainability, performance, resource limitations, and potential delivery risks.
• Analyze and rectify crashes, memory issues, performance bottlenecks, and integration defects across both application and embedded target layers.
• Design and implement asynchronous and multithreaded application components.
• Engage in code reviews, technical discussions, estimation, planning, architectural discussions, and risk evaluations.
• Collaborate effectively with UI/UX designers, QA engineers, backend developers, and customer representatives.
• Guide less experienced engineers through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Identify enhancements in engineering processes, tools, and development methodologies.
• Over 3 years of professional C++ development experience.
• Strong practical expertise in Qt 6, Qt Quick, and QML.
• Solid understanding of modern C++ (C++17/20), object lifetime, memory management, RAII, concurrency, and software design principles.
• Experience in developing UI applications for embedded Linux devices.
• Comprehensive understanding of C++/QML integration, including signals & slots, properties, bindings, object ownership, and exposing C++ objects and models to QML.
• Hands-on Linux experience, including SSH, shell commands, logs, processes, deployment, and debugging.
• Familiarity with CMake as the primary build system.
• Experience in writing and maintaining automated unit tests.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher proficiency in English.
• Experience with Yocto or other Embedded Linux build systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with Wayland, EGLFS, LinuxFB, or similar embedded display backends is a plus.
• Experience with D-Bus or other IPC technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of Qt Concurrent, QFuture, or similar asynchronous APIs is a plus.
• Familiarity with Google Test / Google Mock is a plus.
• Experience with GDB, Valgrind, sanitizers, QML Profiler, or other debugging tools is a plus.
• Skills in optimizing Qt/QML applications for devices with limited CPU, memory, or graphics resources is a plus.
• Experience collaborating closely with UI/UX designers and implementing Figma-based designs is a plus.
• Background in IoT, HVAC, Smart Home, or other embedded device-oriented products is a plus.
