C# Backend Developer, .NET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop and improve backend services and APIs utilizing C# and .NET.

• Design and create REST interfaces.

• Actively share responsibility for the operational performance of your applications.

• Potentially contribute to UI components within the .NET ecosystem (e.g., ASP.NET MVC, Blazor).

• Analyze and effectively resolve bugs and performance challenges.

• Maintain and enhance current codebases.

• Identify technical debt and make informed decisions regarding the timing of refactoring.

• Assume complete responsibility for your services (including deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting) — without on-call duties.

• Participate in technical decision-making within the team, focusing on maintainability and operability.

• Share your knowledge and collaborate closely within a small, self-managed team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience as a software developer specializing in C# / .NET.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented software development principles.

• Experience with ASP.NET Core and ORMs such as Entity Framework.

• Proficient in working with relational databases.

• Experience in designing and utilizing REST APIs.

• Willingness to work with established .NET codebases (e.g., .NET Framework 4.8) and modernize them gradually.

• Regular use of AI tools to assist with daily development tasks.

• Familiarity with message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ), Blazor, or MVC is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Understanding of Clean Code principles, maintainable architecture, and automated testing practices.

• Ability to independently navigate and work within existing codebases.

• Experience in product-focused environments (e.g., FinTech, platforms, SaaS) is a plus.
