This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.
• Develop branch inventory plans and oversee cost-efficient replenishment within a designated region.
• Manage system forecasts by analyzing data and collaborating with sales and operations teams.
• Track vendor estimated time of arrivals (ETAs) and ensure accurate pricing on purchase orders while addressing any discrepancies.
• Implement the ABCD stocking strategy effectively.
• Utilize reports for managing open orders, optimizing buying and transfer decisions, and evaluating forecast accuracy.
• Execute the driven forecast and modify forecasts in response to expected demand fluctuations.
• Make purchasing and transfer decisions based on cost considerations, economic factors, and net working capital objectives.
• Oversee branch-level inventory to ensure maintenance of established days on hand.
• Create, monitor, and manage purchase orders utilizing the company's ERP system.
• Initiate requests for internal transfer orders.
• Track the status of open purchase orders and transfers until completion, communicating updates to stakeholders.
• Provide financial forecasting analysis to assist business leaders in making informed purchasing decisions.
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal teams to avert shortages or delays.
• Support the purchasing manager in resolving inventory and pricing discrepancies.
• Assist with special projects as required.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounting and/or purchasing, or equivalent education and training.
• Comfortable with speaking and presenting to individuals and small groups.
• Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and ERP system usage.
• Strong skills in negotiation, numerical analysis, and communication.
• An Associate degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
