This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Deliver specialized Business course content in an online setting
• Provide instruction, support, and guidance while overseeing the learning process
• Tailor instruction to meet each student's individual needs and adjust based on their mastery
• Track student progress using Stride K12’s learning management system
• Maintain the grade book and make decisions regarding student placement and promotion
• Notify administrators of any concerns regarding student performance and progress
• Prepare students for high-stakes standardized assessments
• Build and sustain positive relationships with families
• Communicate with and respond promptly to students and learning coaches/parents
• Assist learning coaches/parents with curricular, instructional, and basic virtual-classroom troubleshooting
• Travel as necessary for in-person professional development, student testing, and school events
• Collaborate with fellow teachers to analyze and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data for instructional decisions
• Bachelor's degree
• Active state teaching license
• Relevant state Department of Education Business Teaching Certification
• Capability to pass the required background check
• Ability to work independently, typically exceeding 40 hours per week
• Capacity to maintain a professional, distraction-free home office during work hours
• Experience working with the designated age group
• Experience assisting both adults and children with technology use
• Experience teaching in either an online or brick-and-mortar environment
• Familiarity with online learning platforms
• Ability to analyze and create numeric, tabular, and graphic representations of student data
• Skill in collaborating with other educators
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• Ability to swiftly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
• Commitment to maintaining teacher certification/professional development hours and fluency in K12 systems, programs, and curriculum
• Preferred residency in North Carolina or South Carolina; candidates in nearby states such as Georgia, Tennessee, or Virginia may also be considered
