This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Deliver both asynchronous and synchronous virtual instruction in whole-group, small-group, and individualized settings.
• Complete grading, lesson preparation, and maintain communication with students and learning coaches within designated timeframes.
• Review curriculum and assigned courses, ensuring detailed content knowledge while creating alternative lesson strategies.
• Assist students and learning coaches with daily assignments and strategies aimed at promoting course completion and success.
• Comply with and support IEP and Section 504 Plans.
• Design methods and activities that cultivate and sustain a virtual school community.
• Collaborate daily with school staff through online meetings, communication, and LMS tools.
• Maintain regular communication with learning coaches and students via computer and telephone.
• Act as a Homeroom teacher and main point of contact for assigned students.
• Keep up-to-date student records and data, including attendance and contact logs.
• Proctor and assist with state testing assignments.
• Participate in field trips and other community activities.
• Carry out additional duties as assigned.
• A valid North Carolina Teaching License with certification in Business appropriate to grade level and course responsibilities.
• Preference for North Carolina residency.
• A valid driver’s license or state-issued identification card.
• Availability to work full-time from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, staff, and diverse community members.
• Proficient technology skills, particularly with Google Suite.
• Previous virtual experience is preferred.
• Capacity to create a positive, equitable, and student-centered environment.

• High level of flexibility.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness and ability to travel for meetings, training, graduation, field trips, and state testing events, potentially overnight.
• Availability to work occasional evening hours as needed.
