This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Become a Member Advocate - Business Relationship Specialist and play a pivotal role in PEFCU's mission to be the preferred financial partner for all Publix associates.
• Organize and deliver presentations to promote membership, products, and services, while encouraging account openings at on-site events.
• Collaborate with partners to arrange credit union presentations and informational tables in the communities we serve.
• Serve as a PEFCU ambassador to enhance brand awareness in a designated territory of grocery stores.
• Implement the company-wide business relationship program.
• Develop strong relationships through consistent communication and touchpoints via phone, email, and personal visits to retail locations.
• Spearhead initiatives for new memberships, loan referrals, and relationship-building with eligible individuals.
• Actively promote engagement with our online banking platform, ensuring consistent messaging and branding.
• Identify and leverage opportunities to highlight PEFCU's products and services.
• Deliver a personalized and rewarding experience to our members.
• Stay informed about the credit union's vision, products, and services to effectively represent and promote them.
• Plan, organize, and represent PEFCU at sponsored events, including community events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
• Maintain reporting, tracking, and evaluation of community outreach initiatives and their outcomes.
• Research and suggest networking opportunities to management.
• Assist the marketing team in launching new branches.
• 2-3 years of experience in a bank or credit union; experience in the supermarket sector is a plus.
• Understanding of lending theory and industry practices.
• Ability to work independently.
• Capacity to quickly and effectively build relationships through listening and engaging with members and associates.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish trust and rapport.
• Presentation skills to create and deliver persuasive presentations that effectively convey information and ideas.
• In-depth knowledge of financial products.
• Approachable and engaging demeanor.
• Maintain a high standard of professionalism.
• Familiarity with consultative sales principles.
• Ability to deliver an exceptional member experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial products accurately.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Passionate about discovering ways to assist members and the community.
• Willingness to travel to multiple store locations in the greater Birmingham area.
• Must possess access to a vehicle, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and adequate automobile-related insurance.
