Business Process Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Analyze and document existing project delivery workflows, which encompass opportunity-to-project handoff, contract finalization, project initiation, engineering execution, procurement coordination, customer change orders, forecasting inputs, field execution coordination, commissioning, and project closeout handoffs.

• Conduct interviews and collaborative sessions with cross-functional stakeholders to gain insights into the current work processes.

• Create detailed documentation of workflows employing clear process maps, swimlanes, handoff points, decision points, roles, inputs, outputs, systems utilized, and common variations.

• Identify and document areas of process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, ambiguous ownership, duplicate tasks, manual workarounds, inconsistent practices, and significant handoff risks.

• Develop a comprehensive current-state process library that can serve as a foundation for future process design by PMO and operating leaders.

• Present findings, key themes, and prioritized opportunities for improvement for review by leadership.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years' experience in business process mapping, process documentation, PMO support, operations, project delivery, business analysis, or related transformational work.

• Proven experience in documenting current-state workflows across cross-functional teams within project-driven, engineering, construction, industrial, automation, technical services, or comparable environments.

• Demonstrated ability to facilitate stakeholder interviews and workshops with functional leaders, project managers, and process participants.

• Skilled in creating precise process maps, swimlanes, current-state documentation, and summaries for process assessments.

• Previous experience in consulting, business analysis, PMO, Lean, Six Sigma, or operating model roles is advantageous.
