This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Interact with stakeholders at all levels to gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's data requirements, decision-making processes, and essential metrics.
• Convert business information needs into technical specifications and collaborate with the Business Architect, Data Analyst, and BI team to ensure clarity and alignment on these requirements.
• Design the structure, capture methods, accessibility, and data flow across various systems (such as CRM, ERP, marketing, operations, etc.) to facilitate reporting and analytics.
• Collaborate closely with BI developers, data analysts, data engineers, and business units to guarantee that the technical design aligns with business objectives.
• Develop policies for data quality, security, privacy, and lifecycle management; oversee metadata and data catalogs.
• Create and enforce naming conventions, modeling standards, and architectural documentation practices.
• Oversee and enhance the company’s data and information security protocols to ensure adherence to relevant standards.
• Support the design and enhancement of our Business Intelligence tools, databases, dashboards, systems, or methodologies.
• Act as an intermediary between business units and the Digital Information department, ensuring that solutions address business needs.
• Create communication materials in collaboration with the Transformation team, which may include Playbooks, Transition Guides, FAQs, and more.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by leadership.
• Lead a cross-functional group of business functions towards a unified goal.
• Manage multiple tasks across several simultaneous product launches.
• Excel in ambiguous situations.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• TOGAF Certification (Enterprise Architecture).
• Demonstrated experience as an Information Analyst, Data Architect, or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of statistics and experience utilizing statistical packages for dataset analysis.
• Strong analytical abilities to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate substantial amounts of information with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Solid understanding of business processes and KPIs across various departments (sales, marketing, finance, operations, etc.).
• Capability to transform business inquiries into structured data models and flows.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and understandable manner.
