This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.
• Initiate and pursue utility-scale and large commercial solar and BESS EPC opportunities across the Southwest.
• Utilize established relationships with developers, IPPs, and owners to enhance the qualified project pipeline.
• Represent Conti’s Solar Division to external stakeholders, industry partners, and at-risk development opportunities.
• Identify new market opportunities and contribute to the long-term regional growth strategy.
• Market full-scope EPC services, including engineering coordination, procurement strategy, construction execution, and commissioning support.
• Collaborate with internal engineering, preconstruction, and operations teams to develop compelling EPC proposals.
• Lead initial client discussions regarding constructability, scheduling, risk assessment, and execution strategies.
• Assist in contract negotiations and deal structuring alongside executive leadership.
• Exhibit expertise in: Solar and BESS project development lifecycle, engineering concepts and system design considerations, environmental and construction permitting processes, and utility interconnection and AHJ requirements.
• Act as a reliable technical/business liaison between Conti, developers, engineers, and owners.
• Work closely with Conti’s Solar leadership, estimating, engineering, and project teams.
• Ensure a smooth transition from business development to execution, aligning on scope, risk, and client expectations.
• Over 10 years of experience in solar EPC, renewable energy development, or utility-scale construction business development.
• Demonstrated success in selling solar and/or BESS EPC services to developers, IPPs, and owners.
• Established connections within the renewable energy development sector.
• Strong understanding of: engineering and design considerations, project permitting and entitlement processes, and EPC contracting models (Lump Sum, GMP, EPCM, etc.).
• Experience working on or pursuing projects throughout the Desert Southwest.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
• Willingness to work remotely at first, with a commitment to relocate to Las Vegas, NV or Irvine, CA after one year.
• Performance-based incentives/commissions linked to project victories.
