This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +3 more states.
• In the role of Business Development Consultant, you will act as a representative of Orion in its sales initiatives aimed at promoting services to Registered Investment Advisors.
• This position is focused on enhancing sales in the region by assisting the VP, Regional Sales in developing, qualifying, and nurturing both new and existing relationships through various territory management activities.
• Engage in cold calling and proactively seek out new advisors from lists, campaigns, and conferences for Orion Portfolio Solutions, Brinker Capital, Orion Custom Indexing, and Orion OCIO.
• Actively create email campaigns within the territory to identify and cultivate potential clients.
• Collaborate closely with the VP, Regional Sales in the territory to formulate and implement a suitable business plan to optimize territorial sales, which includes evaluating the current state of the assigned territory to pinpoint opportunities for new business and to sustain the sales cycle.
• Build relationships with Independent Advisors, Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs), industry partners, and contacts to generate new prospects and assist in their business development.
• Participate in and contribute to the development and sponsorship of conferences.
• Possesses knowledge of financial services offerings along with company policies and procedures, including an understanding of Registered Investment Advisory/Wealth Management practice management initiatives.
• Has experience in the Financial Services industry.
• Minimum of 2 years of inside sales experience within the financial sector is required.
• A Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is mandatory.
• Licensing Requirements: This position mandates a Series 65 license or both Series 7 and 66 licenses. If the required license(s) are not held at the time of hiring, they must be acquired within 90 days of the start date. Non-compliance with this requirement may lead to termination of employment according to company policy.
