This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Business Development Associate plays a vital role across four essential product lines: Site Network - Elligo Integrated Research Organization (IRO), Decentralized Clinical Trial Services (DCT), Patient Travel Services (including concierge travel support, patient reimbursement, and patient stipends), and Patient Recruitment Support.
• This position is responsible for identifying leads and business opportunities, as well as prospecting and closing sales.
• The role involves collaborating with the Chief Growth Officer and Finance to monitor and forecast potential opportunities that can lead to formal awards.
• This position manages a strategic territory or designated accounts, focusing on outreach to both new and existing clients to generate clinical trial opportunities within the aforementioned product lines.
• Outreach responsibilities encompass performing outreach, developing, and maintaining relationships to foster new study opportunities from a defined territory or named accounts that include small to large sponsor companies and CROs.
• The Associate is tasked with managing, nurturing, and converting study leads into opportunities by following the Company's prospecting workflows and other outreach strategies.
• Evaluating and analyzing a prospect's current processes and requirements is essential to effectively conduct outreach and enhance the likelihood of converting leads into opportunities.
• The role involves delivering engaging and articulate information about the value proposition to potential sponsors and CROs.
• Building and sustaining relationships with various small to large sponsor companies and CROs through relevant and ongoing communications is critical.
• The Associate serves as a key client-facing contact, attending conferences with the aim of securing new business and enhancing company visibility.
• Learning to manage the clinical trial process is necessary to effectively transform a “lead” into an “opportunity” and ultimately into an “Award” throughout the sales cycle.
• Management of designated sponsor/CRO partnerships involves overseeing an established workflow to optimize relationships, generate numerous studies, connect appropriate sites to those studies, and address any issues that arise.
• The Associate must meet personal targets and contribute effectively to monthly and quarterly goals.
• Daily utilization of Salesforce for tracking business development and relationship management is required, ensuring all records are updated and standardized processes are adhered to.
• Familiarity with clinical trials, some therapeutic practice knowledge, and comfort with medical terminology are essential.
• A self-starter who can work independently while also collaborating across various teams to achieve company objectives and project goals.
• Demonstrates a strong determination and competitive spirit, thriving in a success-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to independently complete tasks, respond to departmental requests, and work collaboratively with others to leverage resources and expertise for quality solutions.
• Strong organizational skills that enable the completion of multiple tasks within established timelines through effective prioritization in a fast-paced setting.
• A proven ability to build and maintain solid relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Capable of creating compelling presentations that address clients’ challenges to secure new business.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, various employee levels, and clients to achieve business results and efficiently meet objectives.
• Proactive and timely follow-up skills, including organizing relevant departmental timelines and addressing internal and external stakeholder needs as necessary.
• Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and suggestions effectively.
• Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with senior management.
• Strong influence skills to maintain effective working relationships with colleagues, managers, clients, and customers.
• A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist when needed, regardless of the task level.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems is strongly preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with functional groups and various employee levels throughout Elligo to achieve business results in a professional manner.
• A general and clinical understanding of the clinical research/pharmaceutical market is required.
• Approximately up to 20% of travel may be required to fulfill the responsibilities of this position.
