This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Business Consultants provide extensive consulting services and practice management guidance, solutions, and expertise to AssetMark advisors and partner relationships.

• They are responsible for evaluating, analyzing, and advising advisor clients on all aspects of business and practice management, with a focus on business strategy and planning, human capital, operations, branding, marketing, and business transitions (including M&A, valuation, and succession planning).

• The role involves managing client engagements alongside the consulting team, encompassing project management, relationship management, business analytics, reporting, and advisory services.

• Consultants design, direct, and develop business strategies and solutions tailored to meet client needs.

• They continuously assess client situations and progress, identifying potential issues and recommending solutions.

• Client interactions include on-site meetings, telephone conferences, and webinars conducted in accordance with Engagement Standards documentation.

• Participation in marketing and awareness efforts for new consulting concepts, services, and critical business initiatives is expected.

• Collaboration with the AssetMark Sales Team is essential to cultivate and deepen advisor relationships, enhancing client loyalty, driving AUM growth, and improving asset retention.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree is required; an advanced degree or financial designations are preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in business consulting and practice management within the financial services sector is necessary.

• A solid understanding of business principles, strategies, and solutions is crucial.

• Strong intellectual, analytical, and reasoning skills are essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities are required.

• A high level of professionalism is expected.

• A keen interest and proficiency in technology are needed.

• The ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks effectively is important.

• Well-honed organizational and program management skills are necessary.

• A capacity to view the big picture while maintaining attention to detail is crucial.

• Capability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude is required.

• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team is essential.

• A commitment to personal and organizational development is important.

• Willingness to travel and work overtime as required.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word is preferred.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel is preferred.
