Business Analyst/Scrum Master, AI focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Convert business requirements into well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Organize and facilitate sessions to gather requirements and ensure clear follow-up actions.

• Assess business processes, data flows, and system interactions.

• Negotiate and propose solutions that align technical feasibility with delivery timelines and business objectives.

• Create Decision Analysis and Resolutions (DAR) documentation for client review and approval.

• Comprehend operational procedures and initiate improvements to processes.

• Collaborate with Data Scientists to provide AI recommendations for enhancing processes.

• Assist in editing, updating, and reporting documentation for senior leadership meetings.

• Lead an Agile team utilizing the Scrum development framework.

• Serve as a liaison between technical and non-technical project teams, representing business interests.

• Work in partnership with AI Engineers, Governance and Security leaders, Data Scientists, developers, solution architects, end users, and federal agency stakeholders.

• Document and implement a roadmap for scaling a governed and secure AI platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline OR equivalent professional experience.

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a software business analyst, ideally with AI tools and concepts.

• At least 2 years of recent experience as a business analyst and member of a cross-functional team in an Agile development setting.

• Proven experience in leading requirements management efforts.

• Skilled in requirements elicitation and documentation.

• Proficient in defining user stories.

• Experienced in determining acceptance criteria.

• Over 2 years of experience using Jira or similar Agile project management software.

• Thorough understanding of the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC), Requirements Management, and Scope Management methodologies.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and product management capabilities.

• Eligibility to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance.

• Preferred working knowledge of AI technologies and their implementations.

• Documented experience in cloud modernization on AWS or Azure is preferred.

• Certification as a Scrum Master or Scrum Product Owner is preferred.

• Strong grasp of Scrum, Kanban, and/or SAFe methodologies is preferred.

• Experience in leading scrum teams and facilitating the removal of obstacles for development teams is preferred.

• Experience in managing and aligning requirements across multiple teams and stakeholders is preferred.

• Experience collaborating with a Product Owner to groom and prioritize a backlog is preferred.

• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Mural, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, approved LLMs, and Databricks.
