This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead negotiations with specialty pharmacies and other data partners regarding inbound and outbound file specifications.
• Review specifications to ensure completeness, accuracy at the field level, and alignment with the Ascend data model.
• Negotiate field mappings, lists of values, file formats, and delivery schedules.
• Validate test files and keep records of specification versions and sign-offs.
• Translate partner constraints into decisions related to configuration, exceptions, or escalations.
• Oversee data mapping, platform configuration, implementation of business logic, and setup of front-end reporting.
• Load data into the pipeline utilizing configuration tools.
• Collaborate with Customer Engineering on standard onboarding processes and custom build handoffs.
• Conduct internal QA prior to partner or client-facing testing; authorize advancement to UAT.
• Monitor and resolve configuration defects during QA and UAT.
• Execute quality control measures before going live.
• Maintain QA documentation, test frameworks, and checklists.
• Direct non-standard requests to Product or Customer Engineering, providing necessary business and technical context.
• Perform change impact analysis.
• Coordinate with Engagement Managers and Delivery Directors regarding specifications, blueprints, testing, and UAT scheduling.
• Proactively report blockers, capacity issues, and escalations.
• Assist in UAT business validation for configuration-related inquiries.
• Normalize schemas and manage data dictionaries and file inventories.
• Document requirements, procedures, issue resolution processes, and platform configurations.
• Develop an operational playbook and internal training procedures.
• Train other Business Analysts as the team expands.
• Maintain standard UAT test script templates.
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year university.
• Relevant experience in an operations role at a biopharmaceutical manufacturer, reimbursement call center, specialty pharmacy, or data management company.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other analytical tools, including data comparison, conditional formulas, data summarization, and conversion.
• Functional knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Background in the Business Analysis toolkit, encompassing systems development lifecycles, problem-solving, root cause analysis methods, and business process modeling.
• Proven ability to manage deliverables across multiple concurrent implementations or client programs.
• Capability to lead data partner specification negotiations with multiple external partners simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize, organize, and execute several tasks concurrently while maintaining rigorous attention to detail.
• Knowledge of data management in specialty biotech and/or operations in reimbursement call centers or specialty pharmacies.
• Familiarity with transactional, clinical, and behavioral healthcare data sources, including specialty pharmacy data file types.
• Understanding of UAT facilitation, defect triage, QA gating, and readiness for go-live.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment in configuration decisions.
