Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead comprehensive business analysis for payment solutions, engaging with real-time, clearing, and settlement systems.

• Collect and interpret business requirements into functional specifications, message mappings, and user stories while ensuring adherence to ISO 20022 standards.

• Work in close partnership with banks, product teams, and engineering departments to facilitate delivery, testing, and production readiness throughout the payments lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in SaaS, digital transformation, or fintech/payments sectors.

• Familiarity with at least one payment type such as SWIFT, SEPA, RTGS, real-time payments (FPS, NPP, IMPS, NEFT), or local clearing systems, including payment rails like Fednow/RTP, Fedwire, and ACH.

• Experience with leading payment products/platforms (e.g., Finastra GPP, ACI UPF, FIS, Fiserv, IBM FTM, SWIFT, Vocalink) is advantageous.

• Significant expertise in payments business analysis, encompassing FRD/FSD creation, message mapping, ISO 20022 knowledge, and change management.

• Strong comprehension of the complete payments lifecycle, from initiation through to clearing and settlement.

• Proficient in interfaces and integrations (IRD) across banking systems, collaborating effectively with business and technology teams.

• Experience in supporting SIT, UAT, production (L2/L3), defect triage, user stories, and requirements traceability.
