This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Lead discovery sessions and collaborate with underwriting, claims, actuarial, operations, and other stakeholders to gather, clarify, and prioritize business requirements.
• Create and preserve current-state and future-state process flows (including handoffs, exceptions, and controls) while identifying opportunities for simplification, standardization, and enhancement.
• Convert stakeholder requirements into precise functional documentation (e.g., business requirements documents (BRDs), functional specifications, business rules, process flows, acceptance criteria, and supporting artifacts) that facilitate configuration and operational execution.
• Collaborate with product and technology teams to clarify requirements, assess options and tradeoffs, and ensure that delivered changes align with business objectives and are practical for daily operations.
• Identify operational impacts (people/process/policy), assist with procedure updates, and aid in ensuring teams are prepared to implement new workflows and system modifications.
• Organize and facilitate UAT by defining scenarios, coordinating business testers, validating results against acceptance criteria, and confirming release readiness.
• Communicate decisions, impacts, risks, and timelines; produce stakeholder-facing updates and user guidance; and support training and change adoption as necessary.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst (or a comparable role) supporting technological initiatives, ideally within the insurance or financial services sectors.
• Must possess practical insurance experience in policy administration and insurance operations (e.g., policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, billing, servicing, workflows, and user support).
• Familiarity with property and casualty insurance processes (e.g., underwriting, rating, quoting, binding, policy administration, and servicing).
• Experience with configurable insurance or enterprise platforms (e.g., policy administration, rating, CRM, workflow), addressing business configuration needs through well-defined functional requirements.
• Excellent facilitation and documentation abilities (e.g., workshop leadership, process mapping, business rules, procedures, and requirements traceability).
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented problem-solving skills, with the capability to distill complex information into clear, actionable documentation.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and organizational levels.
• Proven track record of achieving functional outcomes through stakeholder alignment, clear requirements, UAT coordination, and operational readiness (communications, procedures, and training support).
