Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Engage daily with the client delivery team under the guidance of the Delivery Manager, participating in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and risk assessment.

• Facilitate client discovery workshops, critically evaluate existing processes, and pinpoint opportunities for Cytora to enhance value for the end user.

• Convert client business requirements into precise specifications, user stories, and process designs that facilitate discussions with engineering and product teams.

• Recognize data inputs, system integration points, and exception scenarios early in the design phase.

• Oversee comprehensive analytical reporting on product performance, employing tools such as Thoughtspot.

• Create and enhance AI-driven workflows, including prompt strategies and effective analytical reporting.

• Continuously seek ways to boost BA practice efficiency through AI, such as automating repetitive analysis tasks, expediting documentation, and improving insight generation.

• Ensure the quality of solutions through ownership of test strategies, defining acceptance criteria, leading UAT — covering end-to-end scenarios, edge cases, compliance-sensitive flows, and validating AI outputs.

• Collaborate within agile delivery teams to prioritize tasks, manage risks, and address dependencies.

• Promote continuous improvement by monitoring live solutions and iterating to enhance performance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in Business Analysis, with significant exposure to the insurance industry (underwriting, claims, policy administration, or distribution).

• Proven capability to conduct client-facing workshops and effectively influence senior stakeholders — including the ability to constructively challenge established thinking.

• Practical, hands-on experience with AI tools — including prompt engineering, developing AI-assisted workflows, and a solid understanding of LLM behavior and limitations.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Multilingual abilities: Fluency in English, along with proficiency in additional languages would be advantageous.
