Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Conduct discovery and analysis of processes.

• Facilitate workshops with business stakeholders to uncover automation opportunities within operational workflows.

• Document existing processes using structured methodologies such as process maps, decision trees, and data flow diagrams.

• Evaluate process variability, exception handling, and business rules to assess automation viability.

• Spot opportunities for optimization, standardization, and automation across enterprise workflows.

• Convert business requirements into comprehensive functional and technical specifications for automation development teams.

• Generate user stories, process definition documents (PDDs), and inputs for automation design.

• Establish acceptance criteria and success metrics for automation implementations.

• Ensure requirements are consistent with platform capabilities and overall solution architecture.

• Provide support for automation solution design.

• Work alongside solution architects and developers to refine automation designs.

• Offer business context to guarantee automation workflows fulfill operational requirements.

• Validate that proposed solutions comply with governance, security, and compliance standards.

• Assist in creating scalable automation frameworks across enterprise environments.

• Collaborate on delivery and testing.

• Partner with automation developers and QA teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.

• Aid in testing activities, including user acceptance testing (UAT), validation of automation outputs, and resolution of defects.

• Confirm automation solutions meet specified business requirements prior to production deployment.

• Help in developing operational documentation and training materials for users.

• Focus on value realization and continuous improvement.

• Monitor automation results against established business KPIs such as efficiency improvements, error reduction, and operational throughput.

• Identify further opportunities for automation and process enhancement.

• Assist in developing enterprise automation roadmaps and prioritizing the pipeline.

• Advocate for best practices in automation adoption across client organizations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of overall work experience, including more than 3 years in business analysis, process improvement, or automation initiatives within SaaS, consulting, or enterprise technology settings.

• Experience with automation platforms like Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Blue Prism, or similar RPA/AI solutions.

• Strong background in process mapping, requirements gathering, and stakeholder engagement.

• Familiarity with automation delivery methodologies, including Agile or hybrid project environments.

• Experience collaborating with enterprise clients involved in digital transformation initiatives.

• Deep domain expertise in at least one of the following process areas is highly preferred: Finance Operations (AP, AR, Payroll, Financial Close), IT Service Management and internal operations (Helpdesk, incident triage, password resets), or Supply Chain & Procurement (P2P, order management, inventory, logistics).
