Branch Loan Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Deliver exceptional customer service by gathering the necessary documentation to underwrite the loan.

• Request third-party documentation through direct communication with the customer and/or loan officer.

• Organize the complete loan package in the correct order for underwriting purposes.

• Confirm that all required documentation is present in the file.

• Create a loan approval summary, along with Forms 1008 and 1003.

• Engage directly with the Loan Originator, customer, and underwriter.

• Evaluate loans for compliance with all mortgage-related regulations.

• Coordinate with various companies to acquire necessary information.

• Oversee the pipeline by completing and submitting reports.

• Record all communication related to the loan application in the conversation log.

• Train and assist in supervising new loan processors and other processing staff.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

• At least 5 years of experience in residential mortgage processing.

• Proficient knowledge of RESPA regulations.

• General understanding of all mortgage and consumer lending regulations.

• Experience with Non-QM loan types.

• Strong math and analytical capabilities.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Familiarity with Encompass software.
