• Maintain the general ledger for customers by accurately and promptly recording financial transactions.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements with the general ledger, addressing and resolving any discrepancies.
• Input costs, expenses, and COGS into the accounting system, ensuring correct coding and classification.
• Regularly prepare income statements and balance sheets to deliver precise financial information.
• Offer accounting support to internal stakeholders by answering inquiries and providing assistance as required.
• Ensure adherence to relevant accounting principles, regulations, and tax standards.
• Stay informed about current accounting and tax standards by attending professional development sessions or courses when necessary.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance and streamline bookkeeping processes and workflows.
• Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring proper documentation and filing.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Portuguese.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in US bookkeeping.
• Practical understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously is advantageous.
• Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, etc.
• Ability to accurately document financial transactions and maintain ledger entries.
• Familiarity with financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
• Capability to identify discrepancies and correct errors in financial records.
• Clear and concise communication skills for interacting with clients and gathering essential financial information.
• Excellent organizational abilities to systematically manage financial documents.
• Effective time management skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple client tasks concurrently.
