This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Maintain precise and current financial records.
• Execute daily bookkeeping activities, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements.
• Process invoices, payments, and payroll where applicable.
• Prepare and oversee GST returns in accordance with New Zealand regulations.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
• Generate financial reports as necessary.
• Communicate with accountants, auditors, and other key stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to New Zealand's financial and tax regulations.
• Demonstrated experience as a Bookkeeper or in a comparable position.
• Practical experience with Xero accounting software.
• Strong understanding of New Zealand accounting principles and GST regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
• Effective organizational and time management abilities.
• Capacity to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with clients or companies based in New Zealand.
• Relevant certification in accounting or bookkeeping.
• Experience managing multiple entities or accounts.
