This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.
• Oversee daily accounting functions for a business based in the U.S.
• Verify and authorize supplier invoices for precision and completeness.
• Prepare and execute weekly payments via checks and credit cards.
• Reconcile supplier statements and address any discrepancies.
• Engage with suppliers to address inquiries and provide updates on payment status.
• Generate and distribute client invoices.
• Accurately record and allocate incoming payments.
• Manage collections, statements, reminders, and follow-up processes.
• Maintain detailed accounts receivable records and aging reports.
• Process credit requests and perform credit reference checks as necessary.
• Prepare and submit sales tax remittances using Avalara.
• Administer QuickBooks Online bank feeds and post journal entries.
• Sustain the general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Ensure timely and precise recording of financial transactions.
• Collaborate with the Fractional CFO on reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Execute month-end close procedures, including accruals, prepaids, and adjusting journal entries.
• Reconcile bank, credit card, loan, and other balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for CFO review.
• Assess account variances and pinpoint discrepancies.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and document depreciation.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
• Support year-end closing processes and provide necessary documentation for tax preparers and auditors.
• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant bookkeeping experience.
• Experience in bookkeeping for a small business operating in the U.S.
• Proven ability to independently manage most accounting responsibilities described in this role.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Availability during U.S. Central Time business hours is required.
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online.
• Familiarity with accounts payable and receivable.
• Experience in reconciling bank, credit card, and loan accounts.
• Background in maintaining a general ledger and chart of accounts.
• Competence in journal entries, month-end closing, accruals, and prepaids.
• Experience in preparing financial statements.
• Knowledge of fixed asset schedules and handling depreciation.
• Background in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Familiar with preparing sales tax remittances using Avalara.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Familiarity with Facilis Syncore ERP is a plus.
• Experience in the promotional products industry is advantageous.
